The service is provided in case the appropriate equipment is absent and is addressed to

The NOC does not host personal websites.
The hosted websites have a URL of the format http://ikaros.teipir.gr/username and the administration/update is the responsibility of the applicant and is done via ftp connection.
The connection to a database and the use of executables (.exe, .cgi, .php, .asp, etc.) is not allowed on the server.
The access to the server is only possible from specific IP addresses and with the usage of a username/password account that is created by the NOC in consultation with the applicant.
The update, administration and backup of the contents of the website is the sole responsibility of the applicant, as he appears in the form filed to the NOC. The NOC is not responsible for any data loss.
The NOC does not control the contents of the website, therefor it cannot guarantee the quality nor the legitimacy of those contents. Proper use of the domain is the sole responsibility of the applicant. The applicant accepts the terms of proper use issued by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT). Indicative prohibited:
- the storage and/or advertising of pornographic material,
- the storage and/or advertising of abusive to third party material (libel, slander),
- the storage and/or advertising of commercial or advertising material,
- the storage and/or advertising of copyright theft material,
- the storage and/or advertising of material that is not consistent with the academic profile of the service.
